How to Choose the Right Impact Windows for Brevard County
Start with the opening. Single hung and horizontal rolling windows cover most bedrooms and kitchens; fixed picture and architectural windows suit great rooms and ocean views; casement and awning windows give the best seal for wind-driven rain. For doors, sliding glass doors open up lanais and pool areas, French and outswing doors fit entries and patios, and pivot doors make a statement at the front of the home.
Then match the design pressure. Homes east of the Indian River, in Satellite Beach, Indialantic, Melbourne Beach, Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, see higher wind loads than Palm Bay, Viera or West Melbourne.
